Understand how chiropractic might help to relieve your pain and move more freely
Neck and Low Back
Up to 70% of people in the UK will suffer neck pain at some time in their lives (NICE). Similarly, low back pain is common in the population too.
The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) advises manual therapy, including spinal manipulation, as part of a recommended treatment strategy (link).
Chiropractors are specifically trained to assess and treat these conditions.

Joint and Muscle
Chiropractors do not just treat back conditions.
The bones and joints form the basic system for movement and support. It is a highly complex one and interdependent so that dysfunction is often translated along a limb such as the leg when the foot, knee and hip may all be involved.
Chiropractors are trained to identify the cause of a problem and to treat accordingly.
Posture and Alignment
The bones of the spine together with the discs provide support and protection for the spinal cord and spinal nerves. This enables information to be conveyed to and from the brain thereby enabling movement and other important functions.
The spine is designed to absorb shock with the curves acting as a coiled spring during movement.
Chiropractors encourage patients to invest in their spinal health by having regular chiropractic care.
